Daily Grind: Monster Hunter Tri
I really had no idea what Monster Hunter was when picking this game up. I'd briefly watched Josh play a few minutes of Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and understood it to be a sort of like the parts of an MMO which are dull (grinding for drops/resource gathering/crafting) made into a janky action game with long load times. I also know that the Monster Hunter games are obscenely popular over in Japan, so figured there was probably something I was not getting. As I am not the biggest handheld game player, this Wii game seemed like a great way to get into the series to see if I can figure it out especially as it seems technically much more competent than the PSP games.

How Easy is Easy Mode in Mega Man 10?
It's quite a quandary, liking Mega Man but at the same time sucking at horribly at it. I first played a Mega Man game on a friends NES, and then didn't touch the series till many years later when emulation started existing at which point I save-stated my way through them all. Many years after that, Mega Man 9 came out and I grossly overestimated how good I was at NES style Mega Man games. I beat about one stage, and then gave up in frustration and haven't touched it since.
With all that in mind, I was very excited to hear about the planned easy mode in Mega Man 10, as it means I will probably be able to see the whole game without resorting to watching someone's tool-assisted speed run on youtube. I did however start pondering the following question:
At what point does easy mode in Mega Man 10 inevitably stop being easy?
So how easy is it? Easy? Read on to find out!

Haven't had a lot of time for articles recently, I've spent all of my available time working on the back end. Hopefully you might of noticed that the front page loads a bunch quicker. I realised I was calling lots of stuff from the database and then throwing it away, which I'm told isn’t the way you should do things. I also split these answers out into their own section just because they were clogging up Features which was meant for other stuff. I'll throw up an email address for questions you want to ask directly at some point soon.
We have a whole host of features waiting to be developed, user logins and profiles being the most obvious one. Once that’s done I can clean up the comments system and tie them together. After that comes all the fun stuff, and you the user can embark on your thankless grind along with the rest of us.
Anyway, I think I’ve got enough time to delve into the search terms and find something dumb.
